Sunday Morning Ram-blings

Sunday morning Ram-blings:

Why was it wrong for LeBron James to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, but it would have been okay for him to come to New York to play with Amar’e Stoudemire and possibly Chris Paul or Tony Parker? How did he somehow duck a challenge by going to Miami, but Knicks’ fans would have considered him to be ”The King” if he came to the Big Apple? New York bias anyone?

What’s with all the New Yorkers firing cheap shots at Pat Riley? Pat Riley, the guy who brought the Knicks to the NBA Finals. Pat Riley, the guy  responsible for making the Knicks the hottest ticket in New York in the early 90s. He’s getting the Joe Torre/Bill Parcells treatment. What does this tell you about the New York sports fan?

Did I miss the Joba Chamberlain fist-pump last night when he gave up the eighth-inning grand slam to the Mariners’ Jose Lopez?

Jose Reyes may be one of the most talented players in Major League Baseball, but his reluctance to lay down a sacrifice bunt in the third inning of Friday night’s loss tells me everything I need to know about Jose, Jose, Jose, Jose.

Bob from New Hyde Park/Hofstra/PAPD/Queens just informed me that Bob Sheppard, the real voice of the Yankees, passed away. He will forever be remembered as the “Voice of God” at the old Yankee Stadium. He will be missed. And NEVER replaced.

Rob Adams’ posts over at Exit 55 have been too infrequent these days. That’s a challenge, Rob!

WFAN can’t do any better than Sid Rosenberg?

Isiah Thomas is coming back to the Garden? Who’s next, Anucha Browne Sanders?
